Rotary vane vacuum pump is an oil sealed mechanical vacuum pump. The working pressure range of rotary vane vacuum pump is 101325 ~ 1.33 × 10-2 (PA). Rotary vane vacuum pump can be used alone, and can also be used as the front stage pump of other high vacuum pump or ultra-high vacuum pump. Rotary vane vacuum pump has been widely used in metallurgy, machinery, military industry, electronics, chemical industry, light industry, petroleum and medicine and other production and research departments.


Rotary vane vacuum pump is not suitable for pumping out gases with high oxygen content, corrosive to metal, chemical reaction to pump oil and containing particulate dust. There are two types of rotary vane pump: single-stage and double-stage. The so-called double-stage is that two single-stage pumps are connected in series in structure, and are generally made into two-stage ones to obtain higher vacuum degree. When the rotary vane vacuum pump rotates, centrifugal force and spring tension keep the top of the vane in contact with the inner wall of the pump chamber, and the rotation of the rotor drives the vane to slide along the inner wall of the pump chamber.


Rotary vane pump is mainly composed of pump body, rotor, rotating blade, end cover, spring, etc. The volume of the space connected with the exhaust port of the rotary vane vacuum pump is gradually reduced and is in the process of exhaust. The volume of the space in the middle is also gradually decreasing, which is in the process of compression. As the volume of the space is gradually increasing, the gas pressure decreases, the external gas pressure at the pump inlet is greater than the pressure in the space, so the gas is inhaled. When the space is isolated from the suction port, i.e. to the position of space B, the gas begins to be compressed, the volume gradually reduces, and finally communicates with the exhaust port. When the compressed gas exceeds the exhaust pressure, the exhaust valve is pushed open by the compressed gas, and the gas is discharged into the atmosphere through the oil layer in the oil tank. By the continuous operation of the pump, the purpose of continuous pumping is achieved.


Failure causes of rotary vane vacuum pump


1、 Rotary vane vacuum pump smoke and fuel injection: refers to rotary vane vacuum pump in operation, the exhaust port smoke, about fuel injection.


Smoking: if the pump has just started to run, there are signs of smoking, which belongs to normal. If the smoke is emitted between the two, it is abnormal. The way to deal with: smoke to clarify the air inlet of the pump, including the pipeline, valve, container, repair environment. After the leak detection, the punishment will be dealt with, and the smoking will be over.


Fuel injection: to clarify that there are a lot of leakage points outside the intake port, and even the air inlet is exposed to the atmosphere. The way to deal with: seal the air inlet of the pump to make the pump run. If there is no oil injection, clarify the leakage point; if the exhaust valve plate is damaged, check whether the exhaust valve plate is damaged, and change the bad exhaust valve plate.


2、 Rotary vane vacuum pump noise: here refers to the noise of the pump.


Knock cylinder: the pump makes an irregular noise when it is running, like the sound of metal beating metal. This is the sound of the rotating plate hitting the pump body. This kind of environmental stress is caused by the spring break between the pair of rotating blades, which is probably caused by the failure of tightening or ejecting. The way to deal with: open the pump to check whether the rotary spring is damaged. Change the spring.


Exhaust valve plate noise: tension is the rotary vane vacuum pump exhaust valve plate damage. The way to deal with: change the good exhaust valve piece.
