1、 Causes of burning out of vacuum pump motor




1. Operating under overload condition for a long time




When the wrong vacuum pump special oil is used, when the vacuum pump lacks maintenance, the vacuum pump oil in the pump deteriorates. When the discharge pressure of the pump is too high, the motor will be overloaded. If there is no certain overload protection, the motor will be damaged for a long time.




2. Operating at high ambient temperature and poor ventilation or altitude above 1000m




Due to poor heat dissipation, the motor temperature rise is too high, which will damage the motor coil and consume the grease in the bearing, causing bearing damage.




3. The voltage is wrong




Some pumps may be imported or made abroad. The rated voltage of the motor is different from that of our factory. Too high or too low voltage will damage the motor.




4. Wiring error




If it should be connected with star type or delta type, the coil voltage will be increased by 1.7 times, and the winding of motor will be seriously heated, and the motor will burn out quickly. Therefore, it is not allowed to change the original star connection method to triangle type under the same voltage.




When the triangle type and star type should be connected, the voltage of the motor coil will be reduced to 1 / 1.7, and the torque of the motor will be reduced to 1 / 3 of the rated value. In full load operation, the speed will drop sharply and the current will increase. If the motor is not stopped, the motor will overheat and burn out.




Due to the wrong wiring of some side flow vacuum pumps, the ones that should be connected into triangle type are connected into star type. During the test run, the load is very small, and the pump can run normally. However, after a certain period of operation, the load of the pump increases due to the blockage of the pump filter, which will lead to the motor damage.




5. Not using the correct electrical protection device and high quality electrical control components.




Because some users use the vacuum pump, they just simply connect the connection to make the vacuum pump run directly, and do not install appropriate overload protection, phase loss protection and other devices, resulting in the motor burned out due to various accidents. Some customers need to start and close the vacuum pump frequently, even several times a minute. Once the contactor contact is poor, it will cause phase loss damage. --It is recommended to use the pump normally open - valve to control the vacuum pipeline on and off.




2、 Measures to prevent burning out of vacuum pump motor




1. All electrical work must be carried out by a professional electrician.

3. The ambient temperature of the vacuum pump should be lower than 40 ℃ and good ventilation should be maintained.
